Job description
- Perform routine maintenance, repairs, and servicing of all machinery and mechanical equipment.
- Install, assemble, and test mechanical systems to ensure optimal functionality.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot faults promptly to minimise downtime.
- Conduct preventative maintenance in accordance with set schedules.
- Ensure full compliance with health, safety, and food safety regulations.
- Collaborate closely with the production team to address mechanical breakdowns effectively.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities.
Minimum requirements
- Recognised Trade Qualification as a Fitter (essential).
- Minimum of three years’ experience in a large-scale fruit production, packhouse, or FMCG environment.
- Strong technical aptitude with solid problem-solving and fault-finding skills.
- Working knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems will be an advantage.
- Must be willing to work shifts, weekends, and overtime when required.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
