Job description

  • Partner with management to create an enabling and performance-driven culture that supports the business strategy of Dutoit Agri.
  • Administer and coordinate all labour-related matters, ensuring compliance with employment legislation and company policies.
  • Assist with workforce and manpower planning to meet operational requirements.
  • Oversee recruitment and selection processes to attract, develop, and retain top talent.
  • Manage compensation processes including salary surveys, market comparisons, and job grading.
  • Maintain healthy labour relations by handling union and workers committee matters with professionalism and fairness.
  • Coordinate training and development initiatives that support employee growth and skills advancement.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory labour legislation and internal HR policies.
  • Manage the social welfare function, promoting employee wellbeing and engagement.

Minimum requirements

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology.
  • Minimum of five years’ experience as an HR Generalist, preferably in a multi-site or agricultural environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in reward management and compensation will be advantageous.
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • Excellent administrative and computer proficiency.
  • Ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality and perform well under pressure.
  • Fluent in both Afrikaans and English (written and spoken).
  • Valid driver’s licence and own reliable transport.
